Before choosing a study strategy, I think it helps to pause and ask three simple questions: What does this task actually require? What usually gets in the way? What is one realistic method I can try this week? Teaching Applied Study Strategies reminded me that learning is not one fixed formula. A method can look great on paper, but still not fit the task, the timing, or the person using it. That is why planning, testing, reflecting, and adjusting matter. Sometimes the goal is not to find the perfect strategy right away, but to build one that can actually work in real life.

What question would you add before starting a difficult task?
