We’re halfway through the term at IBTE, and I’ve been thinking about how different each of my classes are—and how much I’m learning from teaching them. This term, I’m teaching three completely different student groups:

- One learning Digital Art, where we explore narrative, design, and visual storytelling. - Another diving into Mathematical Skills for Computing, solving equations and exploring the logic that supports programming. - And a third working through Business Mathematics, applying math to real-world scenarios like forecasting, ratios, and percentages.

What fascinates me is this: while the students and content vary, the core skills they’re building—clarity, structure, and problem-solving—are universal.

It’s easy to box subjects into “creative” or “technical,” but real learning happens when students see how these worlds overlap. When structure supports imagination, and creativity brings clarity to logic.

Have you ever found creativity in something technical—or structure in something artistic? I’d love to hear your take.
